Vehicles over 10 years attract significant over-age penalty duties on top of standard import duty. The total landed cost can make such vehicles uneconomical.

2. What is the NHIL?

NHIL is the National Health Insurance Levy (2.5%), charged on imports alongside VAT. GETFund levy (2.5%) also applies.
